I made a guest appearance on one of my favorite long-running podcasts, 2 Guys, 1 Brain! Find my interview in episode #441. While I was there, I whipped up a little "I-was-here" tag for Andy's microphone, ha!

I left an impromptu note sewed to the piece. It says Dear Thai Food Cafe, I love you.

Yarn Bombing Month

I went to a World Wide Knit in Public Day yesterday to kick it with the producers and listeners of the Knit Happens podcast, right here in Portland. And of course, yarn bombing came up in conversation. Several people were interested in it, and July has been declared "Yarn Bombing Month". I'm down.

Now I just have to finish my next bike rack cozy and decide where to install it...

Also, I used this opportunity to learn a couple new stitches like the bobble stitch and the basketweave stitch! Very exciting.

Even though I haven't been actually making many tags, I think about it a lot. I find myself wanting to tag things/places that have a place in my heart (my work, my home, my cat). So it would make sense that my first bike rack cozy would end up at my local library.

It's been rainy and cold, and I've been inside and watching a lot of Wheel of Fortune. Whilst working on the hoodie vest from Yarn Bombing: The Art of Crochet and Knit Graffiti, which is almost finished (and of course I will post photos when it's finished). Till then, I'm bombing things in my house that sit still too long:
